What is it? A foot file for self-pedicure.
The Ped Egg is made of plastic with a metal insert resembling a fine cheese grater. It’s about the size of a bar of soap and very simple in design. It is comprised of three main parts: 1) the lid, which serves as a container to catch “shavings”, 2) the blades which snap into the lid, and 3) the base which is used both to store the lid and blades when not in use and features an emery pad sticker on the bottom for finishing.
Major Claims:
Over 135 Precision Micro Files – This is true. The blades work in two directions along a single line parallel to the length of the product.
Safe to the Touch – Running ones fingers across the blade wasn’t hazardous, although you can feel the sharp edges of the blades. In use, greater pressure equates to a deeper cutting action. The instructions caution against too much pressure and to stop in the event of irritation or pain.
Ergonomic Design – It fits in the hand easily like a bar of soap.
Traps Shavings – No Mess. Partly true. It traps most of the shavings, but does not prevent some of them from escaping and falling to the floor (as shown in the ASOTVI video). When holding the product with blades facing up and allowing gravity to take them down into the lid container, it catches them just fine. But when the product is held vertically, shavings are allowed to fall away and are not caught by the product. It might be wise to still use this product in a dry bath or shower, where any shavings that are not caught can easily be washed away. Otherwise, there will be vacuuming to do after use.

The Go Duster advertises that it automatically does the work for you. Its “miracle dusting spray” that grabs and holds dust like a magnet. It claims that regular dusters merely “push the dust around”.
We found the Go Duster to be very fun and easy to use. The duster heads were easy to snap on and off the handle. We used the Go Duster on a buffet that had not been dusted in some time so there was quite a build-up of dust and dirt. After the first try, dust could still be seen on the table, so we sprayed the head with the dusting spray included with the Go Duster. The Go Duster did do a better job after being sprayed. However, when we ran a finger over the top, it came away with a remnant of dust.
We then dusted an entire living room and found the product to work satisfactorily for bookshelves and small surfaces. The biggest plus was for statues, knickknacks, and stereo/AV equipment. It easily reaches into nooks and crannies that ordinary dust cloths can’t reach. It also cuts the time for dusting considerably and makes out of the way areas easier to reach.
The battery life of the unit was not evaluated (i.e. how many rooms can be dusted before the batteries have to be replaced). The website claims that the dusting spray will not harm wood; however the vendor has not listed the ingredients on the label. The vendor also promises to send replacement dusting spray for life, but there is a $4.99 shipping and handling charge for a 2 ounce bottle (please note that price as compared to $4.59 for a popular aerosol dusting spray for a 12.5 ounce can)

What is it? A large fleece blanket with sleeves.
The Slanket is a simple concept of convenience – a warm, fleece blanket that enables the user to reach out of the cozy comfort it provides without having to pull the blanket away from the upper body and sacrifice any warmth. For common tasks such as grabbing the TV’s remote, taking a sip of a drink, petting a dog or cat, and staying warm and comfortable, this is a clever idea.
We observed the product to be well made of good materials, with fine double stitching. It is very generous in size, 95 inches by 58 inches, which is roughly eight feet long by five feet wide, sufficient to accommodate just about anyone. Its sleeves are roomy and comfortable, somewhat resembling the sleeves of a wizard’s robe, making them easy to reach out with little effort.
The product is available in many different colors, and if you shop around on the Internet for one, there are many discounts to be found.
If you are someone who enjoys curling up on the couch to watch TV or to read a good book on a cold night (especially when you don’t feel well), this is truly a MUST HAVE product.
Anecdotally speaking, from our evaluation, we discovered that when one particular miniature dachshund now sees it taken out, she heads straight for the couch ready to cuddle up and snuggle.
